Data Deletion Policy

13452344 Canada Inc., doing business as Mangrove Media ("we", "us", "our"), is committed to respecting your privacy and giving you full control over your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains the types of data we store, how you can request its deletion, and what happens when a deletion request is processed.
We comply with applicable data protection regulations, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in Canada. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time.
1. Data We Store
When you use Mangrove Media, we may collect and store the following categories of data:
1.1 Account Information
- Name, email address, and profile photo
- Password (securely hashed, never stored in plain text)
- Timezone and display preferences
- Company or workspace information
1.2 Connected Social Media Accounts
- Platform-specific user IDs and page IDs (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube)
- Access tokens and refresh tokens for API authentication
- Page or profile metadata (name, profile picture URL, follower counts)
1.3 Content and Media
- Posts you create, schedule, or publish through the platform (text, images, videos)
- Media files uploaded to the media library
- Draft posts and post templates
- Saved replies and content snippets
1.4 Engagement and Analytics
- Post performance metrics (likes, shares, comments, impressions)
- Audience demographic data from connected accounts
- Inbox messages and comment threads
- Short link click analytics
1.5 Billing and Subscription
- Subscription plan and billing cycle information
- Payment records (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store full credit card numbers)
1.6 Usage and AI Data
- AI content generation usage logs
- Feature usage patterns and preferences
- Webhook configurations and integration settings
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request the deletion of your data in any of the following ways:
2.1 Through Your Account Settings (Recommended)
If you have an active Mangrove Media account, this is the quickest way to delete your data:
- Log in to your Mangrove Media account
- Navigate to Settings from the sidebar
- Click the Danger Zone tab
- Click Delete Account
- Type the confirmation phrase and confirm your deletion
This will immediately and permanently delete your account and all associated data, including posts, media, connected social accounts, analytics, team memberships, and your user profile.
2.2 Through Facebook
If you connected your Facebook account to Mangrove Media, you can initiate data deletion directly from Facebook:
- Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy > Settings
- Navigate to Apps and Websites
- Find Mangrove Media in the list of apps
- Click Remove and select the option to delete all data
Facebook will send us a data deletion callback. We will process the request and remove all data associated with your Facebook user ID. You will receive a confirmation code and a link to check the status of your request.
2.3 By Contacting Us via Email
You can request data deletion by sending an email to our support team:

- The email address associated with your Mangrove Media account
- Your full name (for identity verification)
- Any connected social media account usernames (optional, helps expedite the process)
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 7 business days. You will receive an email confirmation once the process is complete.
3. What Happens When Data Is Deleted
3.1 Immediate Effects
- Your account is deactivated and you will be signed out of all sessions
- All posts (drafts, scheduled, and published records) are permanently removed from our platform
- Connected social media accounts are disconnected and all stored tokens are revoked
- Uploaded media files are permanently deleted from our storage
- Inbox messages, saved replies, and comment threads are removed
- Team memberships and invitations are cancelled
- Short links and their associated analytics data are deleted
- AI usage history and content generation logs are purged
3.2 Processing Timeline
- Account settings deletion: Processed immediately upon confirmation
- Facebook callback deletion: Processed within 24 hours of receiving the callback
- Email requests: Acknowledged within 2 business days, completed within 7 business days
- Backup purge: Residual data in encrypted backups is purged within 30 days
3.3 Data We May Retain
In certain cases, we may be required to retain limited data after a deletion request:
- Legal obligations: Transaction records or communications required by law for tax, accounting, or regulatory compliance
- Fraud prevention: Anonymized records to prevent abuse or fraudulent activity
- Aggregated analytics: Non-identifiable, aggregated statistics that cannot be linked back to your account
3.4 Third-Party Data
Please note that content you have already published to social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) through our Service will remain on those platforms. Deleting your Mangrove Media data does not remove content from third-party platforms. You must contact those platforms directly to remove published content.
4. Checking Your Deletion Status
If your deletion was initiated through Facebook, you will receive a confirmation code and a status URL. You can check the progress of your request by visiting:

For email-based deletion requests, you will receive status updates via email at the address you provided. If you have not received a response within the stated timeline, please follow up at support@mangrovemedia.ca.
5. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain types of data processing
